"During the day, out
in the world, no matter how hard or cold or wet the road might be, I
never wished I were safe in the Ritz. More often the road was neither
cold nor wet, and I felt myself to be the most privileged person on
earth to be able to pass through where others saw only normality, and
to think myself in paradise."
-Ted Simon
As much
as I would like to say that I have control in my life, there is a
certain something about it that I can never control. That is what makes
life worth it: the risk. If I knew what would happen to me every day for
the rest of my time, how could I possibly live? The greatest thing
about life is not knowing what the next step has to hold, what the next
corner will have me face.
When
you feel at home you do not care about danger, it will always be an
afterthought. It is your safe haven. I'm a rider. I feel at home when
I'm between these two wheels. When I ride, I don't risk my life, I risk
my death. I feel alive when I am on my motorcycle.
